Specialized in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University of Padua in 1985, attending the Orthopedic Clinic as an internal student for four years and in particular the scoliosis section directed by Prof. Agostini. In those years he conducted an experimental study on the variations of hydroxyproline in patients with scoliosis, a topic that was later the subject of his degree thesis.
